Marriage Licences

Application forms may be picked up in the Clerk's Department. The application must be completed and signed by both parties. Once completed, either one or both of the parties may bring in the form to obtain a Marriage Licence. If only one person decides to come to obtain the Licence, the birth certificate/drivers licence/passport of each party must accompany the application. If either or both parties are divorced, the original, or a certified copy, of the Certificate of Divorce is required. A Marriage Licence is valid for 90 days after the date issued and may be used anywhere in Ontario. To ensure your licence can be issued, contact the Clerk's Assistant to confirm that the proper signing officials are present to issue the license. Payment of $125.00 is required at the issuance of the Marriage Licence.

Business Licences

No licence or renewal of a licence will be issued until the applicant has paid all outstanding fees owed to the Township and has received approval from the Durham Health Department or the Municipal Law Enforcement Officer. Applications will not be accepted unless the applicable fee, application form, and any additional information required by the Municipality is submitted.

Business Licence Fees:

Refreshment Vehicle: $300.00
Refreshment Vehicle Attendant: $25.00
Auto Wreckers: $150.00
Go Kart Kartways: $150.00
New Taxi Owner: $1,000.00
New Taxi Driver: $100.00
Taxi Owner Renewal: $125.00
