The Township will begin an invasive species management work this Friday at the Uxbridge Countryside Preserve...

Williams Forestry will be on-site at the Preserve on Friday May 19th and will be hand-digging and pulling out buckthorn and dog strangling vine from underneath select stands of trees.  Targeted application of a herbicide will follow the digging.

Notices and details regarding the spraying are posted at the entrance-way to the Uxbridge Countryside Preserve.   No spraying will be done near any trails. Preserve visitors are asked to remain on marked trails and refrain from entering the areas where the spraying has occurred for a period of 24 hours. Dogs who are leashed and thus on or adjacent to the trails in the Preserve are not at risk from this program.

Please remember that as per Animal By-law 2009-081, the Uxbridge Countryside Preserve is not a leash-free dog park. Please keep your dog on a leash at all times.
