The Township of Uxbridge has completed the first phase of the Parks Master Plan process...

The goal of the first phase was to conduct an inventory of the Township’s parks and open spaces and to consult with user groups and the public about their current and future needs. After extensive public consultation, the Parks Master Plan Interim Report is now available. The report can be downloaded at http://town.uxbridge.on.ca/parks_master_plan. Paper copies are available to view at the Township Offices and the Uxbridge Public Library.

The Interim Report lays the foundation for the second phase of the project. The recommendations in the second phase will help the Township set objectives and priorities for the future use and development of the municipality’s parks, athletic fields, open lands, trails and natural areas. The plan will also look at opportunities to develop the Fields of Uxbridge as a recreation hub while considering our outdoor recreation user groups and their current and future needs.

A public information session and workshop is planned for Wednesday Nov 29th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Uxbridge Seniors Center, 75 Marietta Street. All are welcome to attend this meeting. At this session, the Township consultants will present recommendations uses for public comment.
