would like to remind residents to take precautions to avoid cold-related injuries. Those who are particularly vulnerable include young children, older adults, people with chronic illnesses, people working/exercising outdoors, and pets. Stay in touch with neighbours or those who may be vulnerable.

Protect yourself from frostbite, hypothermia, and other cold-related injuries – wear appropriate clothing, limit your exposure to the outdoors, and travel with a winter emergency kit in your vehicle. Maintain adequate fuel levels in your vehicle in case you have unexpected delays while travelling.

Never use heating appliances indoors that are not approved for indoor use.
