Work will improve water flow and pond health...

Contractors for the Township of Uxbridge will begin removing the sediment from the Barton Farms storm water retention pond beginning the week of December 4th. The work is expected to take approximately two weeks, weather permitting. Residents are asked to observe the Trail Closed signs and avoid the area while the work is underway. Residents of the Barton Farms subdivision should expect truck traffic in the area of the pond while work is underway.

Occasionally the removal of the sediment is necessary to restore the capacity of the pond and enhance the pond’s ability to remove sediment and phosphorous. When rehabilitated, the pond will assist in cleaning the storm water as well as regulating storm water flow into the Uxbridge Brook.
