The Township of Uxbridge has announced it has a budget of $30,000 to allocate to community improvement projects in 2018...

The Township announced a new program titled the Building, Façade and Signage Improvement Program to help spur improvements to buildings in the downtown area.

The area eligible for community improvements has been determined by a Council by-law. Eligible property owners can apply for a grant for project funding for amounts up to $5,000. Projects must require the property owner to fund at least an equal amount of any grant received.

The priorities for 2018 will be those projects that offer improvement to the look of a building, are located in the commercial corridor, those that improve a vacant storefront, and/or address non-conforming façade elements in the Heritage Sign District. A criterion checklist will be used to help determine the highest impact projects for funding.

Applications for the program are accepted between Dec 1st, 2017 and Feb 23rd, 2018. Council will select which projects receive funding.
