Residents already know what a remarkable place the Township of Uxbridge is and what it has to offer...

Now those outside our boundaries will be able to easily discover why they need to come to visit.

The Township of Uxbridge Department of Recreation, Culture and Tourism in conjunction with the Uxbridge Tourism Committee, and Central Counties Tourism has put the finishing touches on a new website showcasing the best that Uxbridge has to offer.

The site heavily promotes the trails and natural heritage of Township as well as tourism features like the York Durham Heritage Railway, various cultural sites, and local businesses and restaurants. Visitors to the website can browse to learn more about specific attractions and events, or browse suggested itineraries linking various events, shopping experiences, and attractions together. The site is designed to grow and change over time as more businesses, events and attractions register to be included.

“We are so excited to launch this new website to show-off our many impressive events, shopping and dining experiences, natural spaces and things to do within the Township” says Kate Collins, Uxbridge Tourism Coordinator. “This will help draw tourists into our Township and enable them to explore so many things they might have otherwise missed. This will be a very tangible asset to help our local businesses increase traffic to their establishments”.

The website address is www.discoveruxbridge.ca.
