History of the skate park

The first Township of Uxbridge skate park was built in the 1980s. Since that time, temporary parks have come and gone.

In early 2011, the Township created two committees of council who were tasked to present recommendations for a location and a design of a permanent skate park within the urban area of Uxbridge. Upon completion of these tasks, the two became one committee with a mandate to raise the funds necessary to build the park. These hard working volunteers from youth to seniors are a reflection of our community.

This park would not have been possible without the support of the Township of Uxbridge, the Rotary Club of Uxbridge, the Ontario Trillium Foundation, the Uxbridge Youth Centre and the generous donations of all those whose names can be found listed in this park.
