Street Sweeping Set to Commence

The Township is preparing to commence annual street sweeping, which is expected to take 6-8 weeks, weather permitting. During this time, please try to avoid on-street parking.  

Please be advised that there will be no special pick-up for sand left in piles or in pails. We ask that sand is left on the roads. Durham Region has moved from the customer self-assessment (TeleRead) water meter card program to full water meter readings by Meter Readers. This eliminates the need for customers to provide readings and reduced the number of estimated bills. Weight restriction season on Regional roads ends April 2

The Regional Municipality of Durham and local area municipalities restrict the operation of motor vehicles on designated roads during the spring weight restriction season, as per the Highway Traffic Act and Regional By-law 26-2018.
