Hospital Helipad Temporarily Moving to Fields of Uxbridge

Redevelopment of the Uxbridge Hospital will begin in late fall 2024. During hospital construction, the helipad supporting Ornge Air Ambulance will be relocated to provide a safe location to land air-ambulances. The hospital itself will remain operational during all phases of construction.

The Township of Uxbridge is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year! Here is a look at how the Township came to be.

On Jan. 1, 1974, under The Regional Municipality of Durham Act, 1973, Uxbridge Township, Scott Township, and the Town of Uxbridge amalgamated into what is known today as the Corporation of the Township of Uxbridge.
